Time to augment the home workshop with another metal working tool – a Plasma Cutter!

The plasma cutter I chose was an American designed and manufactured Hypertherm Powermax 30XP. This cutter was chosen after considering products from Lincoln Electric, Miller, and some of the cheaper vendors found in Harbor Freight. The cost of this unit compared to others is a bit pricey, however, the cost of the consumables are a lot more economic, and also the Powermax is able to use both a standard (faster cutting) or a fine tip.
